Privacy policy

This website is operated by Ian McDonald, operating as RIG Automations (“we,” “us”). PatioPilot is a product of RIG Automations. This policy covers rigautomations.com, our booking pages at book.rigautomations.com, and information you provide when contacting us, requesting a walkthrough, or arranging a call.

Information we collect

When you email us, submit a pilot application, or book a call, we receive the information you provide. Applications include contact and company details, location, sales-team size, appointment volume, average job value, current tools and processes, and your implementation needs. HighLevel (GoHighLevel/LeadConnector) stores booking and contact information, form responses, appointment details, communication preferences, and related email and SMS communications. Our HighLevel account is provided through FullyScale; authorized agency administrators may have access to support the account. Any applications previously submitted through Netlify Forms may remain in our records. Please do not send customer records, identity documents, or financial account details.

Our website host, Netlify, processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, which may include your IP address, browser information, requested pages, and request times.

How we use information

We use inquiry and booking information to respond to you, schedule conversations, understand your request, provide requested services, maintain business communications, send appointment confirmations and reminders, record communication preferences, and protect against misuse. Where you have agreed to receive marketing communications, we may send information about PatioPilot and RIG Automations services.

Cookies and link activity

Our booking tools may use cookies or browser storage to operate forms and remember previously entered contact details. Email and SMS links may record link clicks to manage communication preferences and follow-up workflows, including unsubscribe requests. Hosting and scheduling providers also process technical information needed to deliver and protect their services. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking them may affect booking features.

When information is shared

Information is handled by service providers as needed to host the website, deliver email, arrange appointments, and respond to your requests. Booking forms and automated communications use HighLevel/LeadConnector. Connected Google Calendar and Google Meet services handle appointment invitations and meeting access. Netlify hosts our main marketing website. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, or safety.

How long information is kept

We keep inquiry and business communication information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request, manage the business relationship, and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations. Retention depends on the purpose and nature of the information. Technical records maintained by service providers are also subject to their retention practices.

Your questions and choices

Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email to stop marketing email. For SMS, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. You can also contact us to update your preferences. Unsubscribing from marketing does not cancel an appointment; use its reschedule or cancellation link or contact us for help.

You can email ian@rigautomations.com to ask about your information, request a correction or deletion, or ask us to stop optional communications. We will consider your request under applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Linked tools and client services

PatioPilot product access and other separately hosted client tools may be governed by additional notices and agreements. Their processing of uploaded photos, job records, contracts, payment information, or other service data is outside the scope of this marketing-site policy. Review the notices and agreements applicable to a service before providing that information.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes and contact
